What is ECO 4 ?
The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) is a government energy efficiency scheme in Great Britain to help reduce carbon emissions and tackle fuel poverty.
ECO funding provides for private homeowners and landlords to upgrade the energy efficiency of homes and the money is raised as a surcharge on our domestic energy bills.
The latest policy, ECO4 applies to measures completed from 1 April 2022 and will cover a four year period until 31 March 2026, slashing energy bills and helping to reduce the impact of recent increases in the cost of energy.
